From Cluj 2 days tour. Spa and history is chocolate and strawberry, Eve and the apple, coffee and a drop of rum, one cannot and should not happen without the other. Along this tour not only you can take a bath in warm therapeutic waters, the same the Romans used to love not long ago, but also understand, trace and see what were they doing here in Dacia, the South-Eastern corner of Europe. Hint: it involves gold, wine and other ‘barbaric’ riches. Jumping from Roman times to medieval times will be easy with a visit to a castle and a fortress.
In the morning
Stop at: Rimetea village
“It was pleasantly quiet here” that’s what most tourists say about this place. A former mining village and a monument-village today which managed to keep and conserve its heritage, the architectural values of old times for which is was awarded the “Europa nostra” distinction for rural restoration in 1999; each house declared a historical monument has to be preserved and restored according to its initial neoclassic architecture.
The road will take us through Trascău region, a botanical and geological sanctuary, with wooden bridges, sheep flocks, cliffs long as you can see, good food, traditional Hungarian villages, a heaven for sky gliders and for those looking for peace and serenity in the nature. Don’t forget to bring your camera.
Stop at: Geoagiu Bai
Romans knew a thing or two about running an empire, conquering new land, building bridges and how to enjoy themselves; proof is in Geoagiu Bai. The place might have had a few upgrades, but the curative waters which attracted the Romans in the first place are still here, running smooth and awaiting visitors at 350 m altitude, with 30°C alkaline mineral waters springs. We will also visit the Haiducilor grotto, Clocota waterfall and the Roman Baths, Germisara thermae.
We will spend the night in the Germisara Hotel Resort&SPA

A 13th century fortress build to face Mongolian invasions. From its still standing towers, administrative, housing and defense buildings, you get a panoramic views of Deva city, the landscape and Apuseni Mountains.
Stop At: Hunedoara’s Castle or Hunyadi or Corvin Castel
A gothic-renaissance fairytale castle build on a cliff in 15th century, the biggest medieval building with civil and military functions. The French inspired castle still reflects the greatness of an illustrious family, the Hunedoresti or Corvin family, who were once in charge of Transylvania.
