Maria and Alexandru were great guides and have done a great job for us all week! All in all, both kids and adults had an unforgettable holiday, and we would highly recommend Romania as a holiday country to others we know.
Dear traveler,
You’re reading this because some autumn ago me, Maria and Alex, wrote a little project called Book a guide in Transylvania. Few days after Christmas ‘18 we found out we were the ‘chosen one’ among other 70 projects selected to receive European funding for small entrepreneurs. We won and so the fun begun.
We offer personalized tours taking you to some major Transylvanian sightseeing and touristic points, also offering a taste of rural Transylvania with its villages, blended and traditional style of living which made Charles Prince of Wales fell in love with the place ‘beyond the forests’ (*Transylvania in Latin, trans=beyond and sylva=forest). May you be the next!
If you’ve got ideas, we’re here to listen! We’re open to suggestions, anything from a new route in mind to something you specifically want to see or experience, just write us an email.
There is a thing called “Romanian Time” where “I’ll see you in 2 minutes” means “I’ll be there in twenty to half on hour”. Not us. We like to be on time and appreciate it when others do that as well. We’re old school and wear wristwatch, although we can tell time by looking at the sun, our grandparents’ way.
There’s no rain on our parade. We’re passionate and excited to the point of oversharing sometimes. We can control the weather because we have people in high places, but we don’t make much fuss about it.
We’re not interested in ‘speed tourism’ and there is no tourism bucket list you need to check every five seconds. If you want to enjoy the view, stop, have a glass of wine, a cigarette or just a big moment of silence, is fine with us.
We take credit. We’re using Paypal and working with Banca Transilvania. Payment is encrypted and transmitted through a SSL protocol. We’re going to give you an ‘extra’ credit and a hug for visiting Transylvania with us.
For us Transylvania is a piece of land we inherited though generations and generations of peasants, a land that has been kind and generous, made us who we are and what we are today, a piece of land we call HOME! We know it, we love it and love to show you around. So, welcome!
